This privacy policy for UW-ELAST AB was established on June 26th 2018.

We care about your privacy. You should feel safe when you entrust us with your personal information. That is why we have established this policy. It is based on current data protection legislation and clarifies how we work to safeguard your rights and your privacy.

The purpose of this policy is for you to know how we process your personal data, what we use it for, who is allowed to use it and under what conditions, and how you can exercise your rights.

Background

We process your personal data primarily to fulfil our obligations to you. Our starting point is not to process more personal data than is needed for the purpose and we always strive to use the least privacy-sensitive data.

What personal data do we process? We only process personal data when we have a legal basis. We do not process personal data other than when they are needed to fulfil obligations under agreements and laws. Here are examples of the personal data we process:

  • User name
  • Information that you registered and provided voluntarily
  • Content that you publish yourself, so-called user-generated content
  • IP number (in some cases)

How do we access your personal information?

We try as much as possible to obtain your consent before we start processing your personal data. We do this by letting you fill in explicit consent clauses in cases where the treatment is based on consent.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. We will then no longer process your personal data or collect new ones, provided that it is not necessary to fulfill our obligations under agreements or laws. Keep in mind that revocation of consent may mean that we can not fulfill the obligations we have in relation to you.

We also gain access to your personal information in the following ways:

  • Information we receive when you hire one of our employees

We develop routines and working methods for your personal data to be handled in a secure manner. The starting point is that only employees and other persons within the organization who need personal data to perform their tasks shall have access to it.

In the case of sensitive personal data, we have set up special authorization checks, which means higher protection for your personal data.

Our security systems are developed with your privacy in focus and protect to a very high degree against intrusion, destruction and other changes that may pose a risk to your privacy.

We have an IT security policy to ensure that your personal data is processed securely.

We do not transfer personal data in cases other than those explicitly stated in this policy.

When do we disclose your personal information?

Our starting point is not to disclose your personal information to third parties unless you have consented to it or if it is not necessary to fulfil our obligations under the agreement or law. In cases where we disclose personal data to third parties, we establish confidentiality agreements and ensure that the personal data is processed in a secure manner.
