UW-ELAST and sustainability
UW-ELAST manufactures 100% climate compensated polyurethane. Our components are always produced with the best possible quality in mind. We see that the lifespan of a product is the key to sustainable production. Of course, our products also wear out, but this is because they are often found in exposed applications, e.g. in extremely harsh environments in the North Sea or in mechanically heavily loaded positions in machines.
In the latter case, their function is often to reduce wear and tear on expensive components, which in the event of a replacement probably would have a negative effect on the environment.

UW-ELAST IN THE OFFSHORE INDUSTRY
Our orders to the Offshore Industry has increased considerably during the past 10 years. Our present production for the offshore industry includes dynamic bend stiffeners, static bend stiffeners, bend restrictors and cable and flow line protections.
Bend Restrictor
A bend restrictor (BR) is used where the loads on a cable (umbilical/flow line) are static rather than dynamic (a bend stiffener is more suited for this latter).

Our dynamic and static bend stiffeners are designed and manufactured to meet stringent customer specifications.
Our production methods with polyurethane
We specialize in developing product solutions in polyurethane. They go under the names Trekollan, Slitan and Vulkollan, all with different properties. Our products are for the most part completely customized to be able to offer excellent functionality and to meet our customer’s high demand for wear resistance and elasticity.
