Plan mixers have over time developed from having steel lining as wear protection to lining with polyurethane rubber. Both constructions have their advantages, and at UW-ELAST we have developed a combination that offers the best of both.
Plan mixer
Description
The advantages of polyurethane rubber are a lighter mixer with significantly less burnt concrete, longer service life and a much better working environment with significantly lower noise levels. The weakness of the floor mixer has been the area around and above the emptying hatches, which UW-ELAST solved by reinforcing the area with steel. The steel is rolled and welded to the perforated plate, which is then cast into the polyurethane rubber. The door becomes denser and any fraction is crushed when the door is opened and closed. This means less maintenance and increased cost-efficiency.
